Our GoalWe strive to ensure that the future generation of engineers can have a resource for gaining experience and skills that are vital to their careers. We work to achieve this goal through volunteering our time to young interns and providing aid to associations such as the YMCA where children can go to continue their mental and physical education through after school programs and extra curricular events.

Jean Dahm
Founder, CEO, and President of Vital Tech Services
Jean is responsible for the overall strategy, leadership and growth of Vital Tech Services, LLC. Jean is focused on Database Application Development, CAD services and Consulting. Working primarily with utilities, VTS has developed some cutting edge programs for managing internal assets. Currently her company Vital Tech Services, LLC is working on a program for managing the assets of Wind Farms. This technology incorporates SCADA data. By utilizing SCADA data Vital Tech can also offer Wind Farms a clear path to Predictive Maintenance. This program design is the result of collaboration between Vital Tech and DTE Energy. Vital Tech consults with insurance industry experts to incorporate ways of mitigating risk into software design. When designing a program for maintenance VTS lays the foundation for integrating safely measures when completing a task. Vital Tech plans on expanding their cutting edge maintenance program to Gas Utilities in the near future. Jean has established great relationships with local and state officials. She is often asked to assist in strategic development of local and state business programs. She earned a BAS from Siena Heights University and holds certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, SOLIDWORKS, CompTia and Novell.

Dan O. Fahrer
Dan is the Managing Director of AMWOE LLC, which is an energy and project management consulting firm located in SE Michigan. In this position, he is involved with the development and management of energy related businesses and services. His capabilities include technical expertise and project management leadership for project delivery across an array of disciplines, which include project management, engineering, procurement and construction. These projects span Generation, Environmental, Nuclear, Gas (main renewal, compression and FERC transmission pipelines), Power Delivery and Renewables (wind and solar). He is currently providing consulting services to Verdantera and PTAG. Dan is involved with CII (Construction Industry Institute) where he has served as past Chairman of the Power Utility Infrastructure (PUI) sector and is now the Vice Chairman of the Upstream Midstream Mining (UMM) sector.
Prior to this position Fahrer was an Executive Director within DTE Energy retiring in March 2019 after 45 years of service. In that role he was responsible for direct oversight and leadership within MEP (Major Enterprise Projects) organization, responsible for the Power Generation (Fossil, CCGT, Hydro and Nuclear), Environmental Compliance (AQCS), Renewable Energy (Utility scale), Power Delivery (Substation, line conversion and utility relocations), Natural Gas Projects (distribution, Compression and FERC transmission pipelines). In addition, the portfolio of responsibility included Facility and IT related Project Platforms.
Fahrer earned a Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree in Mechanical from the University of Toledo, additionally he completed an executive development program at the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business.

Beverly S. Hammerstrom
Beverly Hammerstrom is currently a Political Science adjunct professor at Monroe County Community College. She has also served as an adjunct professor at Washtenaw Community College and Sienna Heights University, where she taught a Special Studies course on the History of First Ladies. Prior to her “semi-retirement,” Hammerstrom served 26 years in Public Service: 12 years as Bedford Township Clerk, six years in the Michigan House of Representatives and eight years in the Michigan Senate. She also served eight years as the Chair of the Michigan Republican Party. During her tenure in the Michigan Legislature, Ms. Hammerstrom continuously chaired health policy committees, and served as the Majority Whip in the Michigan House and Majority Floor Leader in the Michigan Senate. While in the legislature she was a member of Women in Government, a national membership association for women state legislators, and served two years as chair of that association’s Board of Directors. Following her retirement, Women in Government honored her by designating her as a member Emeritus of the Board of Directors.

Dean has 30 years experience in industry and education as a mechanical designer and professor in the state of Michigan. Dean’s experience is in the field of mechanical design and includes courses in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, DraftSight, Descriptive Geometry, Rapid Prototyping and Reverse Engineering. He is the author of SolidWorks training videos for Infinite Skills in Oakville, Ontario.

SAP/SuccessFactors Platinum HR/Payroll Consultant Stefan is a Platinum Consultant with over eighteen years of SAP experience within Human Capital Management and SuccessFactors; specializing in the Payroll area, with additional expertise in all other modules as well as technical ABAP coding. Prior to this position at SAP, Stefan held the position of Director Product Management Cloud HCM Integration at SAP Labs LLC.
